Ah, that is the cartridge I had as a kid. You spoony bard! Yep. Except it didn't seem watered down difficulty at all to me... I wasn't a very smart kid. Took me a long time to beat the Queen with the rotating head.

Final Fantasy 4 in The Vault is a fan translation of the original Final Fantasy 4 Hard Type that was only released in Japan. The US got a "spoony" translation of Final Fantasy 4 Easy Type with watered down difficulty, and it was called Final Fantasy 2. Final Fantasy 3 (6) is by far my favorite in the series.
