I must not have been clear. I edit the signature URL field with an appropriate URL, but once it is saved the URL I entered disappears leaving no entry in that field so my signature does not show up.
That was a mouthful.

They are empty incase you want to edit the url or any other data. If you leave them alone everything will stay the way it is.
