Snes9x v1.43

I downloaded the Snes9x v1.43 awhile ago and I was just wondering if there is any way to setup a down-right and down-left function. It has the option for up-right, up-left, and down-left but no down-right. Even with the down-left option set I still can't get it to work. I am playing Final Fantasy 3 and cannot perform some key moves for Sabin's "Blitz" attack....Is there a better emulator or anything else short of buying a Snes-USB controller? Thank you!
