I'd tried them all, and HQ3X was much the least blurred (certainly less so than Super Eagle, which, like the others, made it seem that I was looking at the screen through spectacles [which I don't wear]) and the best on the whole, but still very slightly blurred. SNES9x's standard display produced images of inferior quality generally but without that specific minor irritation. I shall probably continue with zSNES.
Blurriness is part of the effect produced by the 2xSal engines, because both horizontal and vertical pixels are doubled. Thus, the edges of lines are non-terminating and look less sharp. Personally, I like the way it looks.
Super Eagle is the least blurry of the filters. There's also HQ3x in the newer versions of ZSNES, but it's a bit too extreme for me.
