Streets of Rage 3 is an action beat ‘em up game for the Sega Genesis, and at one time was the final installment of the "Street of Rage" saga. The game offers substantial improvement over its predecessor, including a more complex storyline, multiple endings, faster and more agile gameplay, more variety of situations in each stage, hidden characters, and much more. Due to the dwindling popularity of the beat ‘em ups in, the series would not see another entry for quite some time.

The Streets of Rage 3 Project aim to give a more complete feel to the original game. Game-play is enhanced with lots of bug-fixes, stage 6 hidden areas and bike stages improvements, and a lot more. Consider it a cousin of the discontinued 'Director's Cut DX' hack.
