Streets of Rage 3 is an action beat ‘em up game for the Sega Genesis, and at one time was the final installment of the "Street of Rage" saga. The game offers substantial improvement over its predecessor, including a more complex storyline, multiple endings, faster and more agile gameplay, more variety of situations in each stage, hidden characters, and much more. Due to the dwindling popularity of the beat ‘em ups in, the series would not see another entry for quite some time.

Ash and Shiva both appear on the select screen (with portraits) in addition to all of the other characters if you do the Roo code (On the title screen hold Up+B on Controller 1 and press Start). Characters are then fully playable.
