Sonic 3 & Knuckles is an action platformer game for the Sega Genesis.

This version is largely the same as the original Sonic the Hedgehog 3, but adds Knuckles the Echidna as a playable character, and features the levels from Sonic & Knuckles alongside the ones from the original game.

This hack makes Tails follow Knuckles around like he does Sonic. Simply select a save file with Knuckles and Tails will follow him. Patch this to a Sonic 3 & Knuckles ROM in binary format (.bin or .gen).

There are a few minor issues with this patch:
[list][li]Tails doesn’t appear with Knuckles on the save select screen.[/li]
[li]Tails can’t carry Knuckles like he does Sonic.[/li]
[li]Tails doesn’t follow Knuckles in the special stage.[/li]
[li]Tails doesn’t follow Knuckles if you select a level via level select.[/li][/list]

Other than those issues this plays perfectly, Tails behaves exactly as you’d expect.
