Game Description:
The first Mario Kart game ever. There are four cups to race each with 5 tracks a-piece. Excellent multiplayer game. Co-op or versus.
Hack Description:
Super Mario Kart -- Reversed N Remixed.
This is a ROM-hack that came from the simple idea "What if people could play all of the Mario kart tracks backward?"
This is the fruit of that idea with a complete reverse hack for all 20 original super Mario kart hacks. That is where the Reversed portion of the name comes from.
The Remixed portion of the name came from another idea. To inject some new life into the original game above simply making the tracks reversed. The result of this is that are all of the graphics for the courses, Names of the cups/tracks and characters are also changed. The track layouts have also been slightly modified when it was necessary for the AI drivers to complete courses.
The only exception to this is a few tracks in the 2nd half of the game where starting areas had to be built since there were no easy places to put racers to have them go in the right (OR wrong?) direction. The utmost was done to try and keep the feel of the original tracks even though some custom elements have been placed.
There might be a problem still with the AI on Easy Street 2 (Originally Track 5 - Mario Circuit 2) as the AI seem hellbent on not making the jump at the end of the course. Please inform the author if this persists.
