Shadowrun is an action role-playing game for the Sega Genesis, released in 1994 in North America and Asia only. It was adapted from the cyberpunk role-playing game Shadowrun by FASA, and was developed by BlueSky Software. The game is the second video game adapted from Shadowrun, and has a more open ended style of gameplay than its 1993 Super NES counterpart, Shadowrun by Beam Software.

Shadowrun 2058 is a hack for the Sega Genesis Shadowrun video game, whose purpose is to get closer to the fictional universe of the classic PnP role-playing game of the same name; At the same time, this mod aims to improve the gaming experience with a long series of changes made all based on the Core rule books of the original PnP games.

Some new features introduced in this version are:

- Rebalance prices for magic items and cyberdecks (now based on Shadowrun 1st edition rules).
- Remplacing the starting cyberdeck for a "Custom Deck".
- New arsenal revision... again.
- Modify starting equipment and cyberwear for samurai and decker joshua.
- New identity and location for street gangs.
- Better ratings for negotiation skill.
