Game Description:
Final Fantasy is a role playing game for the Nintendo Entertainment System.
Hack Description:
8-bit Theater fans rejoice! This hack replaces the player character sprites with those from more-or-less equivalent Jobs in Final Fantasy III (JP). Specifically:

Fighter - Warrior
Thief - Thief
Black Belt - Monk
Black Mage - Black Mage
White Mage - White Mage
Red Mage - Red Mage (slightly edited)

Knight - Knight
Ninja - Ninja
Master - Karateka
Black Wizard - Magus
White Wizard - Devout
Red Wizard - Red Mage

Final Fantasy 3's Red Mage lacks an upgrade in the vein of the Devout and Magus, so a half-measure was used. The unpromoted Red Mage is a slightly modified version of the FF3 sprite, and the sprite used for Red Wizard restores the original sprite.

This is similar to the Final Fantasy Facelift hack, but more limited in scope, as it does not modify any town tiles or enemy sprites. Using the two together is not recommended for that reason.

As this hack only modifies sprite graphics, it should be compatible with hacks such as Final Fantasy Restored and other mechanical adjustments, but this is by no means a guarantee.
