Super Mario Bros. is a platforming game for the Nintendo Entertainment System released in 1985. When Bowser invades the Mushroom Kingdom, it's up to Mario to stop him and save the Princess.

Mario Seasons is an unfinished hack by Dahrk Daiz. It was abandoned early in development as Dahrk Daiz decided to change to the SMB3 engine and eventually go on create Mario Adventure. Some of the ideas in Mario Adventure like changing weather are also present in this hack. Mario Seasons features 9 colorful levels with animation, a new power up and a new enemy.

The original release does not work properly on most emulators due to improper mapper implementation. This has been corrected and tested on three emulators (Mesen, puNES and FCEUX) as well as a PowerPak flash cart.

This package contains 3 patch files:

Mario_Seasons-unmodified.ips - The original, unmodified game. It does not run properly on most modern emulators due to improper mapper implementation.

Mario_Seasons-fixed.ips - Fixes the mapper problems but no other changes.

Mario_Seasons-enhanced.ips - Gives the game a simple title screen and fixes some minor graphic issues. Also start with 5 lives instead of 3.
