With stunning visuals, solid gameplay, and a then-advanced soudntrack pushing the Genesis console to its full capabilities, Streets of Rage 2 is a must-play for anyone into the Beat 'Em Up genre. It is considered by many fans to be the greatest game in its respective series.

Bringing the roster of characters to 4 by introducing the strong-but-slow Max, and the fast-yet-weak kid Eddie/Sammy "Skate" Hunter (the younger brother of excluded original protagonist Adam Hunter) Streets of Rage 2 brings in plenty of strategy depending on which character(s) you select.

One year has passed since the events of Streets of Rage. Always ready to conquer the city once more, Mr. X kidnaps original protagonist Adam Hunter, and sets loose all of his punks on the streets, bringing the city once more into destructive turmoil. In response to Mr. X's return, the retired police officers Blaze Fielding and Axel Stone once more set forth into the streets of rage, this time with Adam's younger brother Skate, and Axel's wrestler friend Max, in hopes of permanently ending Mr. X's reign on the city and rescuing Adam.

The gameplay of Streets of Rage 2 is similar, yet more refined to the original game. The main protagonists walk to the right on a 2D-3D plane, stopping on occasion to beat through waves of punks and martial artists. In rare occurrences, certain everyday sights (trash cans, phone booths, tables, etc.) are on the playing field, and can be struck to obtain street weapons (knives, lead pipes, baseball bats, etc.) and healing items.

This is an IPS patch for the Mega Drive Genesis Rom Image. "Streets of Rage 2 (USA) [!] .bin" This patch requires the USA Genesis Rom Image.

Features

-This is the hard mode of Street of Rage 2 Double Max.
-Modification of V2 of the ROM hack Streets of Rage 2 Syndicate Wars by gsaurus (It's not the latest version).
-Also used the Level Editor to randomize the enemy placement.
-Added air combos and it is unreasonable balance.
-The four main characters are not juggled when attacked by enemies, but the other characters are, making it more difficult.
-Changed the characters even more.
-Continues are infinite. (If you have 2P, start with 1P and join in the middle.)
-If you use an emulator and set the region to JP, the game will become Bare Knuckle 2.

Issue

-Some of the graphics become glitchy when playing with 2Play.
-The graphics of the weapons become glitchy.
-Some characters freeze when performing certain moves (confirmed by Jet, 66B in Particle).
-If you use Electra's electric whip A on Electra, it will freeze.
-1P AI Play seems to be in the testing phase, and only Zamza and Jack can play properly, and others freeze.
-Sometimes, the last boss becomes transparent and cannot be cleared. (Bad end) To quit Select Game Over in Continue. Don't know the triggering conditions, but there were no symptoms when playing with Blaze.
-If you replay the game in versus mode, survival mode, or after clearing the game, it will enter the versus stage, and when you go to Stage 8, it will go dark and stop, so you have to reset it.
