Super Mario Bros. is a platforming game for the Nintendo Entertainment System released in 1985. When Bowser invades the Mushroom Kingdom, it's up to Mario to stop him and save the Princess.

The author has seen some graphic improvement hacks for SMB, but he mostly feels like they take away from the game's own style, usually importing graphics from SMB 2 or SMB 3. So he decided to make his own graphics hack, replacing them with SMB2J, that has mostly the same style, just a little bit more polished graphics. Every relevant sprite is changed, eyes on the mushrooms, shiny bricks, rocky ground, more detailed bushes and clouds, shaded font, eyes on the trees, different bridges and moving platforms. Feel free to comment on anything missed.
