Super Mario Bros. 2 is an action platformer game for the Nintendo Entertainment System. The game was based on a Family Computer Disk System game called "Yume Koujou: Doki Doki Panic".

Over 22 years ago, the original Super Mario Bros. 2 - Christmas Edition was created and released by BMF54123, designed to be a complete graphical overhaul of the classic game you know and love! This patch aims to serve as a minor update to spread even more Christmas cheer to areas of the game that remained untouched, and make things a bit more...slippery...as you traverse the wintry world of Subcon!

Changes from the original Christmas Edition:
*New Christmas themed colors added throughout (and modified in places)
*Swapped Princess and Toad's primary outfit color
*Ice physics are now applied to all surfaces (can be removed via optional patch)
*You start the game with 5 lives and unlimited continues (similar to All-Stars)
*Includes fixes for the Autobomb glitch and charge jumping while holding an item/enemy
*Optional patch included to reselect character on death
