Pac-Man Championship Edition is a Nintendo Entertainment System port of the XBOX 360 game of the same name. It was originally an unlicensed port, but in 2020 Namco officially licensed it for Namco Museum Archives Vol. 1.

A simple hack that combines the "Ghost eye restoration" and "Fixed "PRESS START BUTTON" Prompt" hacks into a single IPS file for a clean seamless Pac-Man Championship Edition experience.

The NES version of Pac-Man Championship Edition is very well done, but the developers decided to make the ghosts’ eyes disappear when they’re moving up, as if they’re facing away - a strange decision since the original version of the game used the standard arcade sprites. This simple graphics hack adds back the ghosts’ eyes in 3 of the graphics modes (press left or right when starting a game to chose alternate ones). YY-CHR was used to edit the graphics.

This hack also fixes an incorrect tile within the letter “A” in the title screen’s “PRESS START BUTTON” prompt.
