Mega Man 2 is a platforming game for the Nintendo Entertainment System.

Following the gameplay of the first Mega Man game, Mega Man 2 has new features, like Robot Master stages increased from 6 to 8, E-cans that replenishes health to 100%, and support items/platforms 1, 2, and 3.

After his defeat, Dr. Wily created his own Robot Masters and continued his desires for world domination. Mega Man is the only one who can stop the evil scientist once again. But before he could reach him, he needs to defeat Dr. Wily's Robot Masters and obtain new powers from them.

mm2ft is a tool for hack-makers that adds FamiTracker Module playback support to Mega Man 2 (or Rockman 2), both making it far easier to compose and import custom music for hacks and providing a far more powerful sound engine. This engine is added on top of the Capcom 2 sound engine used by MM2, and both C2 and FT format music may be used in a single hack.

While this conversion is primarily intended for hack-makers making their own Mega Man 2 hacks, it does contain a playable demo (mm2ftdemo.nes) that replaces most of the music of the game with various music from other games and the internet, for those who want a different soundtrack to their Mega Man 2.

Use the mm2ft.bps and mm2ftdemo.bps patches for Mega Man 2 (US), and the rm2ft.bps and rm2ftdemo.bps for Rockman 2 (J).

The makeftrom utility ( https://www.romhacking.net/utilities/1800/ ) is used to import music. Note that some of the mm2ft files (in particular the .ftcfg files) are required by makeftrom to produce mm2ft ROMs.
