MGS4 can run pretty well on PCs now, provided you follow RPCS3's compatibility guide for the game.
Deploying textures on RPCS3 is mostly a one-time up front thing. While it can be slow, it's way faster than installing the game on an actual PS3.
I don't know what Xenia does for textures, it could be something with how they've coded the engine, but it does seem to have its own issues. Many games just don't run as well on that emulator, and, unfortunately, it has a much lower compatibility rate as a result.

Just curious as to why the 360 emulator doesn't need to load textures for hours unlike the ps3 one, i assume it's cause the 360 works close to how a pc would function, also asking cause i wanna emulate mgs4 but it seems impractical with how long it needs to deploy all the textures and such
