When a torrent lacks seeders, the download isn't just slow, it stops entirely. The problem with the torrents for more obscure games isn't that they had slow downloads, it's that people often couldn't download them at all.
There are already torrents out there offering popular retro games, so if that's what you want then it already exists. Vimm is about offering reliable access to the most obscure releases as well as popular titles, and torrents aren't a way to do that unless you're running a private tracker with strict seeding requirements.
I never disable telegram once a torrent is done. I just leave it there waiting for the next time I boot my PC. The whole plan is that games like SSBB that get downloaded a lot can speed up. While less popular games like Green Day Rock Band stay the same.
