Re: 3DS Vault

Console generations are vague. When the 3DS came out in 2011, the current-gen home consoles were the Wii, PS3, and Xbox 360. Additionally, the Switch, which is considered the successor to both the 3DS and the Wii U, has now had its own successor, the Switch 2. So it's not impossible to consider the 3DS to be two generations old at this point.
It's not like the FAQ response is a hard-and-fast rule, anyway. It's just to head off the inevitable "why no current gen roms???" threads that get made every so often. The 3DS is 15 years old now, so it's definitely not current-gen. The N64 Vault, for comparison, was added in 2008, when the N64 was only 12 years old.
Question, your FAQ says that a console has to be 2 generations old to be a vault, so how is there a 3DS vault if the 3DS is an 8th gen console and the current consoles are Gen 9 consoles?
