Sounds to me like Romance of the Three Kingdoms I or II. My paypal account is silica54@shaw.ca.
it's an old strategy game based in ancient china/japan. the game begins with around 40 territories, and you control only one. within the game you have an economy, and can purchase all kinds of things including units. examples of the units are cavalry, lancers, riflemen, etc.
the more you fight with the other territories, the stronger your forces become. i haven't played this game since i was a child, and i will paypal $50 to anybody who can correctly give me the name of this game and provide a rom for it.
