Re: Is the Hermes Installer Outdated?

AFAIK ModMii still lets you install Hermes, but it's very old (no updates since 2011) and unless you're using a very particular game mod you shouldn't need to install it over d2x.
For info about cIOS slots and bases and how they effect game compatibility, see this guide on GBATemp:
https://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/Wii_cIOS_base_Compatibility_List
TL:DR; it seems that for Just Dance, you should try having an alternate slot set to base 57 and then telling USBLoader to use that slot for Just Dance. If you followed the wii.hacks.guide instructions when setting up d2x, then that should be slot 250.
I'vce been doing research on how to get certain games working on USBLoaderGX and half of the solutions suggest using a softweare called Hermes. I don't know how to install it, the guides aren't much help and require me to do absurd things to get the files needed, and every post that mentions it was from around 5 years ago. What's the signifigance of Hermes as well as the cIOS slots 224, 220, etc. compared to 249-251, and is there a real need for the Hermes Patches at all or are they outdated??
