Defender of the Faith

I wrote a 12-paragraph reply to the assertations of Syntax and Johnross, but I overstepped the maximum limit on posting comments. Let me just say that I've heard more anti-Mormon comments than all of you combined. You haven't even begun to get to the heart of the issue. For those seriously considering the legitimacy of Joseph Smith's work, I'd recommend B. H. Robert's 6-volume work "A Comprehensive History of the Church." Roberts, writing in 1930, analyzed a plethora of anti-Mormon arguments and successfully refutes each one as he presents a satisfying history of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I read 4 volumes in the last month of my mission, and I highly recommend it. I'd also steer you in the direction of modern LDS research if you'd like to see the "other side" of these arguments. Check out www.farms.byu.edu for modern Mormon scholarly works. You won't find anything that blows you away, but you'll see what I mean when I say that the issue is more complicated than you make it out to be. If you ever seriously want to know if what we believe in is true, get yourself a Book of Mormon, read it, ponder it and pray about it. That's our message. That's what I preached for two years in Germany, and there's nothing fradulant about that. And if you want to keep throwing anti-Mormon arguments on this message board, just try it. I dare you. Fatdan returns.

How are you guys doing? It's been a long time. What, two years and then some? I hope that all is well with those of you in the "scene".

The Fatdan title will die, of course, but I'm still alive. I've pretty much lost all interest in video games, but that's cool, right? I'm still up to talking with all of you and seeing how it's going. I wonder if anybody here remembers me.

By the way, I was in Germany for 2 years as a missionary, of all things. I had a successful mission, one I'll always miss, and I learned German fluently. Also, wenn du Deutsch sprechen kannst, melde dich sofort! Wir können uns auf jeden Fall unterhalten, mindestens.

I also learned a bit of Chinese, which I'm studying now. We taught a lot of Chinese people. 我可以说中文

Anyway, I'm not sure what else I should write here. Somebody write to me and add me to your MSN. evensen_Dashagua@hotmail.com

Later, peepz
