Re: Uploading mistake

I think I figured out what triggers the problem. If I search for a file and try to download it, I get the symptoms previously posted. But if I select a system, then a letter, then download a manual, it works just fine.

About file sizes: actually, Harvest Moon has already been uploaded, it was grayscale, so it was only about 70MB. However, my Uncharted Waters and Dragon Warrior VII png sets are both about 220MB. But those both only have about 25-30 scans. So my first question is: what program do you use to save your PNGs? Mine are about 10MB per two-page spread. (and generally 2000-something X 2000-something X 24BPP)

Second, just about every manual I try doesn't download. It will very briefly show a window with "your download should begin shortly at 5 k/SEC". But this quickly changes to a white background, with the Vimm "frame" around it. And no download window ever pops up. I am on a DSL connection that uses NAT, and has a software firewall installed, if that has anything to do with my problem. But disabling the firewall didn't help. And if I try to download another file, I have to wait a while, or else I get the message "Error. You are already downloading a file or your download was interrupted. It should time-out shortly."

One last thing: Is there a way we could talk on IRC? I think that would be a lot quicker, we seem to be going back-and-forth quite a bit.
