They are the original unmodified ROMs. Vimm's Lair is about being true to the games as they were originally released. But as to why the Japanese-to-English translations also exist in the vault ... Well, I'll have to leave that answer to Vimm. :-P

Are all the roms files the original file? So no graphical, level or story alterations? I really just want to play the original games just like i played them back in the day, not some weird hack or not even an slightly altered game.
