| The sequel to the Dynamite Dekka! series that was Americanized as "Die Hard Arcade" on Saturn. The most over-the-top beat-em-up ever made.
Graphics: 10 It's pretty much a perfect arcade-looking SEGA beat-em-up. Graphics are typical of SEGA arcade games of the era. Very bright and colorful. Textures are blurry and models are simple, more akin to Saturn graphics than Dreamcast. It's not a showcase game but was very typical of the SEGA arcade aesthetic of the era. Sound: 10 Typical blue sky era SEGA arcade music. The voice work... OMG it might be the cheesiest voice work in any game ever made. Right up there with RAD: Robot Alchemic Drive and Ghost Squad. If you love that cheesy SEGA Arcade goofiness you'll love it. Gameplay: 10 Oh lord! If you like your games goofy and weird, and love beat-em-ups this might be the greatest game of all time. You fight anything and everything with anything and everything. There's the boss whose attack is spinning around like a ballerina. There's the giant octopus you fight in the ship's freezer... How do I even describe how weird and wild and hilarious this game is? You just have to play it for yourself. Overall: 10 There's a reason physical copies of this game sell for insane money. There's nothing like it. There's no more games in the series being made. It's wild and over-the-top and a huge amount of fun if you like cheesy movies and video games and arcade brawlers. If you like silly/weird games and/or arcade brawlers (especially Die Hard Arcade) this is a must-play. |
