This is my first review, it is on the GBA Remake of Mario 3.
Graphics: 8 These graphics are, like in the other Advance games, like All Stars but more saturated, especially on the SP. I kinda like that change for all Advance Games, since All Stars looks rather drool and dark compared to this GBA and NES versions. I just love how like the original is, unlike the first advance game, the only problem is that it merely the same as All Stars with a different lighting effect. Sound: 7 This is a good digitized sound track, my favorite is Water Land. However, some tracks are terrible, like Pipe Land, which is like a love scene playing in a Walmart Microphone next to Wario farting, yes it's the GBA, so except it that bad, but A Link To The Past made the music so great, and even Mario Bros included on the 4 Advance games and M&L, sounds like the arcade classic. But other music is okay. Gameplay: 9 This is a new spin on Mario Bros. 3, not in a bad way, unlike Advance 1. This does little change to the actual levels and has no random Yoshi Egg Challenge bull crud. The World E is the highlight, but it is filled with prehistoric Micro Transactions basically, so you should get the game for the Wii U to play these levels. That's my only problem. Overall: 7 It is very good, to be honest, some parts and twists are fun, would i say you should Buy, Emulate, Or Skip, i would say Buy, on the Wii U or use a Game Shark code to emulate the power ups somehow. The normal mode is just copy paste All Stars, but World E more than makes up for it. Should You Buy it if you have a (Super) NES version? Depends on GBA or Wii U, GBA you should skip, but Wii U, give it a go. Should You Buy it if you are looking to complete your SMA/GBA Collection? OH HECK YES! GBA or Wii U? Wii U. |
