I think by far this is the MOST realistic fishing game I've ever played. My whole family has always enjoyed it and if you like fishing and you haven't played it, you should give it a try, I think you'd like it too.

I like that you can't see under the water, because c'mon, when you're REALLY fishing, do you stick your head under water to see where the fish are? So I give this an A+ just for that feature.

Sound: 9
I like the realistic "nature" sounds while you're fishing and that once you pick a point on the map to start fishing, there's no music. So that makes it feel more realistic and doesn't force you to listen to loops of music that eventually get annoying after a while.

Gameplay: 7
There are a few things this game could have had added to it. The ability to buy your own equipment would've been nice although having everything already there is nice too. You'll have enough of a challenge catching the right kind of fish to keep, and large enough fish worth keeping.

Overall I think this is a very well made fishing game, the best as far as SNES fishing games go; and I think this is a good game to pass time or to fish when you can't get out and get the real thing.
