| Basically, it's Dragon Ball Z as an RPG. Graphics: 5 The graphics are cartoony, but not as good as the actual show. The Ki attacks are set up well and are one of the only high points of the game. Sound: 1 The sound is horrible. The music becomes tedious after only a few minutes of play. It has probably the most annoying theme songs in the world. The sound effects aren't any better either. Gameplay: 4 It's fun doing attacks for awhile, but eventually it gets boring. You'll see the same attacks over and over again. It is kinda cool to do the special moves, but they get tiring as well. The game is actually difficult in the sense that you have to fight through countless random attackers all the time. This is what makes it so time consuming and boring. It is also the way to boost your power and what makes the game a little more interesting each time you do. Overall: 5 If you want to play a mediocre version of the Dragon ball Z story(Which only goes as far as the Frieza Saga),then I would suggest this game. As far as playing a good RPG, then try Chrono Trigger. A newer remake of this game would be cool. If it had ten times better graphics(I think the new cel-shading style would work on an anime game like this), more battle animations, and less random attackers then a PS2 or Gamecube remake would be awesome. |
