I love this game so much. Definitely huge nostalgia factoring into this review but yeah. Was very excited to see it get a sequel on the switch, even if its not the same. I am obsessed with solitaire. And, my god, is the ost really, really good.

Well it's definitely pixels and the like. But I really enjoy how it looks. Some people might not. Nothing too bright and flashy and in your face, except the occasional win animation which only lasts a couple seconds. I like the menu styles as well. Easy to understand and access.

I love love love the soundtrack in this game. I love it so much. There are two soundtracks, one that you have to unlock, but both have really good music. The sound effects are alright, definitely obvious DS sound crunch, maybe the card sound effects aren't too appealing, but I don't personally mind. You can really vibe to some of the songs, maybe even fall asleep to them (which I have used one song to help me sleep when I get migraines). I just think it's really good.

There are 42 games to play, all various card games, board games, and other similar games. I, personally, am perfectly fine playing just a few (about 5 max) games at a time. Sometimes I just want to play solitaire and nothing else. Sometimes I'll just swap between the same few games for hours on end. But there is definitely enough games to keep anyone else interested in variety. You do need to beat stamp mode at least once to unlock all games in Free Play mode, and then you need to beat mission mode to unlock the other soundtrack. In order to unlock new backgrounds, you have to play a lot of the games multiple times, so it can get tedious if that's something you care about. There are no difficulty requirements to unlock things except the chat function, which you need to complete stamp mode on normal to unlock stamps, and then complete hard mode to unlock the special paint color. But, again, all optional. Mission mode is... a challenge. It was worth it to me just because I care about this game's music so much, but maybe not to a person who is capable of having normal feelings about this game.

I love this game. A lot. I think about it a lot. It's just Clubhouse Games. But it's just really special to me. It really is just card games and board games and whatnot, but I like it more than any other game like it. The music is really good. I would give it a 10 but I am trying to be reasonable and not base it entirely on personal feelings. I love this game so much.

Fun fact: This game is a worldwide rerelease of the original game which was a japan exclusive called Daredemo Asobi Taizen, which did not have wi-fi and had 5 different games from Clubhouse Games. It also had other slight differences in music (some songs were faster paced) as well as gameplay (for a few card games, and the Balance game which is the only real big difference I can think of.)
Another fun fact: The company that made this game, Agenda, doesn't exist anymore, and the company that made the one on the Switch is NDCube, which also made Mario Party and stuff like that.
Yet another fun fact: The Switch Clubhouse Games came out a day after my birthday, and I was insanely hyped. I would recommend the ds game over the Switch game any time though. Not that I don't like the Switch one but it simply is not as good. It would be perfect to anyone who didn't know the original game. That's just my opinion though.
