Review this game

There doesn't seem to be any other reviews for this game here, so I decided to write one myself.

Do keep in mind this is just my opinion on the game though, not a fact. So take everything I say here with a grain of salt.

Graphics: 5
While the game is pretty fun in general and definitely worth playing, the graphics are not one of it's strong points.

I can understand the attacks looking bland and unimpressive for balancing reasons, but there's no excuse for the unfaithful models and atrocious lighting.

Not only does every character looks like they're covered in kitchen oil, but some of the models also look off, like Cell's head things being way larger and farther apart than they should be, or Goku's base form hair being too large.

The stages do look pretty nice however, so the graphics still get a 5/10 for that.

Sound: 7
Some of the music is pretty decent, but some of it gets repetitive and annoying pretty fast, like the Toki-Toki City (hub area, I'll talk about it more later) the music that plays every time you go there.

As for the quality itself, it's not bad, but I did experience some audio balancing issues with some dialogue being difficult to hear on a few missions. Other than that, the sound is fine, so a 7/10 overall.

Gameplay: 5
The combat is pretty simple, with all characters sharing the same combos and you being unable to use any super attacks to extend them.

This game also doesn't have a "Main" menu where you can access all the game modes, instead, every time you want to play, you have to walk around the hub area (Toki-Toki City) to the game mode you want.

For the game modes, they are also not too bad, with a battle mode, the main story missions, a few shops, a local versus mode and a parallel quests mode, which are side missions unlocked by progressing through the story. The only problem I have with the game modes is the lack of a training mode, no idea why it doesn't have one.

The biggest problem with this game is by far the overuse of RNG, with one very annoying example being drops from Ultimate Finishes.

Ultimate Finishes are extra parts of Parallel quests which are played by meeting certain requirements, the problem is that even if you do meet the requirements, you're still not guaranteed to get them. Making certain drops which are only gotten from those (like Nappa's Gigantic Storm move) extremely annoying and difficult to obtain.

While the combat isn't too bad, the excessive usage of RNG really makes some parts of the game frustrating, so I give the gameplay a 5/10.

Overall: 6
Even with all of it's problems, I'd say this is still a pretty decent Dragon Ball Z game, and would recommend playing it if you haven't yet, it's overall a pretty fun experience if you don't mind the RNG much and just want to enjoy the game for what it is, so I give it a 6/10 overall.

One thing I didn't mention is that apparently the online servers are pretty bad, but I can't really comment on that much since I never played the online modes.
