Most immersive and realistic football game out there. If you've ever played football IRL and need to scratch that itch, this game is the best one. If you come from Madden, you'll have a tough time, it'll be frustrating and demoralizing, but if you are patient and stick to it, you'll get better and better and you'll never want to look back.

The graphics of the game were so much ahead of all the other football games at the time, I'm surprised it runs so well with such good graphics on a PS2. It runs beautifully and better than other football games. It feels and looks very smooth.

This is where the game doesn't stand out as excellent but still good for me. Presentation is great, music is good, QB audibles and cadences are definitely average, announcers are good but not great to me.

Gameplay: 10
This is an actual football simulator, so it is not easy. Passing is extremely difficult but once you get the hang of it it is extremely rewarding. I'm surprised there is no decent passing tutorials or tips online anywhere. Blocking and running is great. This is not an arcade game, it requires time, effort and practice to be successful.

**Practice mode is a MUST to get better. Learning the strength and weaknesses or your players is also a must.**

There is a reason this game is so legendary, but just like any simulator, it requires work to really enjoy it's greatness. It is even considered by some, the greatest sports video game of all time.
