I am one of those people who get all nostalogic when people talk about the glory of the NES. However, I get really peeved when people talk about the "former" glory of the NES. The NES system is STILL in its glory days. And Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlords is one of the best games, if not the best. Graphics: 10 I gave the graphics aa high of a rating as I did because for a game as old as Wizardry is, it has fairly good graphics. You have to remember that the NES was only 8 bits, as opposed to 64 or 128 bits. The monsters look [fairly] realistic and you can pretty much tell that they are a Ninja or a Greater Demon or a scruffy man. Sound: 10 Wizardry's sound is awesome. The music, however, is the type where you just want to rip out you're ears by the time you're halfway done. Gameplay: 10 The gameplay of this game is just righteous. Sure, some things may cost a little bit (15,000 GP), but, hey, it gives you more time to practice before you go on to the more difficult levels of the maze. Overall: 10 Overall? OVERALL?? OVERALL, THIS GAME KICKS ASS!! OVERALL, THIS IS THE BEST "NES" GAME EVER PRODUCED!! OVERALL, THIS IS A RIGHT-ON AWESOME GAME!! This is a very good game, in my opinion. |
