| Whether you're familiar with 1942 or not, this sequel will not disappoint. 1943 greatly improves upon its predecessor, making it one of the top games in its genre if not of all time. You can expect the same intense gameplay if you've played 1942, along with better graphics and sound. A new challenge is added to this one, however. You must distribute points to several attributes, such as off. power, def. power, and energy level, which lets you take hits and use your special weapon. One of the best for NES.
Graphics: 10 Better than 1942, nice and clear. Nothing is lost from the game. Plenty of detail. Perfect by NES standards. Sound: 10 Good, varied music and sound effects throughout the game. There's no beeping noise like in 1942, so you won't get irritated. Gameplay: 10 Smooth movement and intense action. Challenging and addictive. One of the most enjoyable games I've played. Overall: 10 I could hardly ask for more. After playing this game, you'll have no reason to play Galaga. No complaints. I couldn't think of a reason not to give this game a perfect score. |

| This game is quite possibly the greatest arcade game ever. I can remember pumping many a quarter into the old stand up arcade game, but it is best enjoyed for free. its got intense action (probably one of the most intense NES games available) and even RPG elements where you upgrade your abilities. It takes many tries to beat a level, but belive me when i say you wont care. And I used to think crack was addictive! | |
